Wnętrza
The Dr Irena Eris beauty salon is a 210 square metre two-level commercial fit-out within Nordic Haven, a high-rise tower at ul. Grottgera 4 in Bydgoszcz. Designed for one of Poland's most established premium cosmetics chains, the salon opened to the public on 4 December 2024. The project marks Rise.Design's first commission for an international beauty brand, with the executed interior distributed across a ground floor dedicated to visible, socially active beauty services and an upper floor for private treatment rooms and staff operations.

The salon occupies a prominent ground floor unit within the Nordic Haven curtain-wall facade, its branded storefront visible from the street. The two-level space reads from outside as a single continuous volume, with the glazed entrance establishing the Dr Irena Eris brand presence at street level before clients enter the interior sequence.

The ground floor organises its programme in three bands from storefront to stair: a reception and waiting zone with branded Dr Irena Eris signage and graphite-painted walls; a glass-partitioned hair salon with individual styling stations visible from reception while acoustically separated; and two manicure and pedicure treatment rooms at the windows, capturing natural daylight from the Nordic Haven curtain-wall facade. An accessible WC and storage beneath the staircase complete the ground floor without encroaching on client-facing areas.

The material specification is deliberately restrained. Graphite-painted walls appear on every level, their dark neutral tone providing a backdrop against which the brand's identity reads clearly. Porcelain tile flooring runs continuously across both floors, visually unifying the varied room types. Suspended plasterboard ceilings drop approximately 60 centimetres below the structural slab to accommodate MEP routing, resolved as a clean horizontal plane with recessed LED downlights flush to the surface. Lightweight partitions at minimum 12 centimetre thickness, built slab-to-slab, provide the acoustic separation that professional beauty treatment requires.
On the upper floor, four massage and treatment rooms line the window wall, each positioned to benefit from natural daylight through the curtain-wall glazing, with the elevated floor level providing city views. A changing room with full-height lockers and bench seating provides client preparation space, while a client WC extends the same material register into auxiliary areas. The staff zone with laundry, storage, and a social room with kitchenette occupies the remaining upper floor area, separated from client circulation.

The design development explored a range of atmospheric options before arriving at the graphite-and-daylight palette. Darker, more spa-like concept renders with warm accent lighting and premium finishes informed the material direction, while inspiration references from comparable beauty environments established visual benchmarks for the brand-aligned aesthetic.

The selected approach prioritises restraint over drama. The Dr Irena Eris brand identity reads with maximum clarity against a neutral backdrop rather than competing with decorative interior elements. The concept renders document the path from initial explorations to the final material language that was executed on site.

The two-level floor plans document both storeys: the ground floor with reception, glass-partitioned hair salon, two window-side manicure rooms, accessible WC, and staircase; the upper floor with four treatment rooms along the window wall, changing room with lockers, client WC, and staff zone. Together they record the spatial logic of a 210 square metre premium beauty salon delivered within a contemporary high-rise tower.
