Intérieurs
The Dorota Kuznica boutique is a fashion retail concept developed as a tenant fit-out within the Drukarnia shopping mall in Bydgoszcz — a mixed-use commercial complex at the junction of ul. Jagiellońska and ul. Gdańska in the city centre, originally opened in 2007 and undergoing a major repositioning programme under new ownership from 2024. The boutique forms part of the broader tenant-activation strategy for the 23,500 square metre complex commissioned by Metalkas, alongside a restaurant, gym, and other retail packages delivered by rise.design across the building's multiple levels.
The boutique occupies three adjacent ground-floor retail units totalling 326 square metres, configured not as a conventional clothing shop but as a hybrid retail-and-atelier operation — a distinction that drives every spatial decision in the plan. The design concept distinguishes between two customer experiences within the same footprint: the browse-and-discover world of the public retail zone, and the made-to-measure world of the atelier consultation. A visual reference process preceded the layout work, establishing the boutique's aesthetic direction through a curated mood board of contemporary fashion retail references before the spatial configuration was resolved.

The spatial layout organises the three bays as a continuous retail sequence with a clear privacy gradient from the mall's circulation spine inward. A retail-forward storefront with repeated display vitrines and exposition zones creates the primary visual interface with the mall corridor — a rhythmic series of display opportunities that establish the brand's visual identity from the external circulation route. Behind this display layer, dual reception points allow simultaneous client service across the boutique's full width, supporting different modes of engagement without creating bottlenecks at a single threshold. The atelier and custom-order fitting zone occupy the interior portion of the plan — separated from the browsing environment by the spatial sequence itself — providing the enclosed, private atmosphere that tailored consultation requires. Storage and service access are positioned at the rear, maintaining the clean progression from public display to private fitting without service circulation interrupting the customer experience.
